Do you call your significant other by his/her name, or do you use a nickname/affectionate saying?

I can't remember the last time my husband called me Michelle. He only calls me "my darlin'." When I call to him I use a range of things from one extreme to another like "love of my life" to "you waste (always affectionately)," but I do throw in his real name once in a while.

Well you already know I call her "K" because it is her first initial. I also call her "Kritter" But, so as not to get whomped, I will keep the reason secret.

      MrsDK It's because of a sunburn I got in college - I was a Kris(py) Kritter.

  • I usually call him Dave (or sometimes David), but often refer to him as "my other half", since we've been married so long (39 years come December).

  • I almost always use her given name, "Margaret". It started out as a way of teasing her, because she's not fond of it and it just became a habit. Occasionally I call her "Boss". LOL

Dave Cobb I knew a girl in Japan named Margaret who disliked the name. She prefered to be called her Eileen. Her pa was the local missionary.
